The entire game board consists of 64 "gems" contained on an 8x8 grid. There are seven different gem colors: white, orange, blue, red, purple, green and yellow, and each game lasts approximately 60 seconds.
The object of the game is to score as many points as you can by moving one of 64 various-colored "gems" around the playing field. Gems can only be moved one at a time. to one adjoining space at a time, in a maximum of four directions (up, down, left, right). But if you move a gem in a corner or on a side only two or three directions are possible respectively.
A valid "move" is executed when the player moves a gem such that the move creates three, four, or five gems of similar color in a line. This is called a "match". In the case of 5 gems, the gems can be in a straight line, an "L" shape, or a "T" shape. When a valid move is made by the player, all the involved gems disappear from the board and remaining gems "fall" into the spaces created from top to bottom. In turn, spaces created by falling gems are eventually replaced randomly with new gems from the top of the screen.
When a move causes more matching lines from falling and new gems these matching gems also disappear. This is called a "cascade".
